Tamar Wildlife was established in 2005 by Bruce Taggart, a wildlife consultant and lecturer who specialises in the field of ornithology. He has over 40 years birdwatching experience in Britain and abroad, is a qualified bird ringer and ornithological consultant.
From 2006-2011 he was contracted by the RSPB as Field Officer for the Cirl Bunting re-introduction project and will be working on the same project in 2010. He has undertaken survey work for consultants in Exeter, Truro and south Devon and has recently worked on Farm Environment Planning for Higher Level Stewardship Schemes.
One of the main features of Tamar Wildlife are the winter bird-watching cruises. These regular events have been running for six years and are as popular as ever.
Individuals and small groups can hire Bruce as their personal guide for the day or longer. An itinery can be arranged to meet your requirements, enabling visitors to fully experience the wildlife of the local area.
